ARAWAK CEMENT Youth Milan
wins Digicel Premier League

ARAWAK CEMENT Youth Milan has finally done it after many years of being there or there about. The Northern based team seemed to have thrown off the  problems that have kept one of the more exciting football years in Barbados from winning this prestigious crown.
The Digicel Premier League Trophy is counted amounts the must win prizes of Barbadian football.  Form the first game this season Arawak Cement Youth Milan seemed focused on winning the much coveted prize. The standard of play, which this team exhibited throughout the season demonstrated that they were out to challenge the likes of Claytons Kola Tonic Notre Dame and Ajax Construction Silver Sands. to football supremacy.  In the end Arawak Cement Youth Milan  won my the narrow margin of 1 point (see Standings). But that should not take anything away from the squad which comprised such players as Michael Forde, Norman Forde, Kenroy Skinner, Angus Doyle and Adrian Chase. Unfortunately, Arawak Cement Youth Milan would not be able to do the double, since it is out of the FA Cup.  But they will have an opportunity to play to become the Champion of Champions, when they defeat whom ever is the FA CUP Champion.
NO MORE PARADISE

It is sometimes said that when all is against you, nothing you do seems to help. That appears to be the case with Paradise Football Team this year. This team from the Parish of Christ Church, which has always been among the prize monies and trophies is destined to play its football in the 1st Division next year.
Paradise has been one of the more consistent teams in Barbados. What went wrong can only be answered by the management and the players. Why were they not able to lift their games to the standard of previous years?  It is hoped that whatever the reason that Paradise would bounce back and bring glory once again to Christ Church.
